This course presents a comprehensive “deep-dive” into the legal aspects of the use of force including the development of the law, the Reasonable Officer standard. the range of reasonableness, and societal pressures on the Reasonable Officer standard. This course is an advanced study of the law and makes extensive use of case studies.
